Quick question

A buddy of mine I work with wants to scope his Ruger redhawk 44mag. He had a red dot on a rail but wants to replace the rear sight with something like a Jpoint or docs optic. I am unfamiliar with both sights and don't know where to send him for a sturdy base and mounting system for his gun.
Any and all advice is welcome.

I used the Weigand D&T base for mine.

Somebody here said the JP base for the SRH will fit a SBH, but JP doesn't so I went with the Weigand. If the Redhawk has the same rear sight assembly as the SRH, you might want to check out the JP website as that one is more compact. Weigand's will fit the Redhawk as well.
