New toys - 12/18/2012 2:29 PM

Forgot that I haven't posted pics of my new toys! I got the MKIII a few months back, but the other two have been in the last couple weeks.

I am VERY proud of the TRP 1911. It was the number one gun on my bucket list. I looked and looked for this gun. Only saw two of them in 6 years, and this was the first stainless one I've ever seen. Rest have all been blued. I named it "Bigfoot"-- Everyone has heard of them, but very few have actually seen one! HAHA!!! The Colt Anaconda at the bottom is not a 44mag. It is the 45colt version! The MKIII will be wearing a Leupold in a couple days. Just waiting on the rings. It shoots pretty well without a scope, and has taken some bunnies, but I still want the scope on it. Its a target handgun, so I want to get all I can out of it.

Thank you!! These three, along with my 460, pretty much cover everything I do. I'd still like to have another big bore-- something in the 1/2" realm, but that will be later.

Re: New toys - 12/18/2012 9:22 PM

I had a TRP in stainless until I traded that for my FA83. However, before I got rid of it I bought the Full Rail TRP. These are great guns for the money and very accurate. Mine has a bull barrel which takes alittle getting used to when breaking it down. You'll love yours.

Yeah I was told there were only 10% of the Anaconda's made in 45colt. I am very excited about this one. And yeah, I'm gonna shoot it! I don't believe in closet queens!!

My wife has already told me, "You can't get rid of that one, I like it!"

I haven't been able to shoot it yet, but once I do, I'll let ya know how the Anaconda does. The TRP is the best shooting 1911 I've ever shot. I've shot almost 2 boxes through it already. It is smoother than any handgun I've shot. This one has the bull barrel also, and it is certainly an accurate shooter.

I thought you have owned one for quite a while according to your post from a while ago:

QUOTE: "I carry a Springfield TRP. It is a full size .45 and I don't even know its there. I use a Milt sparks IWB holster called the Versa Max 2."

Or maybe you are the lucky owner of two of them! Cool.

Re: New toys - 12/21/2012 3:06 PM

Yeah, it is the same TRP. I took the grips off and was going to put some custom wood grips on it back in August or September. When I took the grips off, there was a bunch of odd crap, and what looked like rust to me under the outline of where the grips lay. I had been told it was new, but when I contacted the dealer, he said I had to take it up with Springfield. Sent it to Springfield, and they said it was the "lube" that they use, but that it was more than normal. They cleaned it up, and sent it back. I just got it back within the last 2 or 3 weeks, but sent it off a couple months ago. I don't know if it was "just lube" or not, but it is cleaned up now and looks brand new under the grips. I guess if we are being technical here, it has more than two boxes through it if ya include what was shot before I sent it off. Sorry I can't be exact, but it probably has close to, oh... 5 full boxes shot through it, and maybe 17 rounds out of the 6th box, but DON'T QUOTE ME ON THAT!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I've owned the MKIII a while to, but never posted it either. Just picked up the Anaconda a few weeks ago.

Once I added the Anaconda to the group, I got to looking at all of them laying there together, and remembered that some of the guys on here like pictures of the guns, and that I have never posted pictures of ANY of those three. I've posted a few of the 460, but none of the other three.

I re-read what I've posted in this thread, and I see your point, and understand where the misunderstanding was created. Sorry about that!!

Didn't know ya wanted to get technical, but I can give ya exact purchase dates if it makes ya sleep better!

I'll be MORE than happy to explain. However, it probably WOULD be a legitimate reason to have me kicked off of here for life.

So lets just suffice it to say that someone got their arse handed to them, and then laid down on the floor and threw a temper tantrum and decided to lock the thread.

Or maybe I should say he is compensa... no, I won't say that.

I'll just shut up and go have myself a Merry Christmas now with my new toys!!!

Dan,
PM sent as to not air this in the open. Its like beating a dead horse and not worth everyone's time. Thanks for unlocking the posters thread though!

Raptor....love the toys, enjoy them bud. Personally, I don't give care when you bought them and I don't need a sales receipt either. I just thank you for sharing and I hope they give you great pleasure in the future!

Love that 45 Anaconda.....The first gun I bought was a Colt Goverment 45acp. I was a big Jeff Copper fan. The 2nd gun was a
4" Colt Python.....

Re: New toys - 12/25/2012 4:13 PM

Very nice toys!!! I would love to find a Colt like that to hunt with. I just had a 1911 put together with a Essex frame, wilson internal parts and Springfield Armory slide with Kart barrel and then some Novak sites. I really like the looks of the stainless 1911 but I have the stainless frame and blue slide-good enough for me. Just got it from the smith so I have to get some rounds loaded and try it out. He said it shot great.
What do the initials on the slide stand for? Not to familiar with the SA pistols.

Re: New toys - 12/25/2012 9:07 PM

The TRP initials on the slide stand for "Tactical Response Pistol".

It is a "production" gun, but is almost completely hand made. It was modeled after the pistol the FBI had contracted, which Springfield makes, and calls the "Professional". The TRP cost about $1000 less though, and will outshoot, or at least hold its own, against a lot of custom 1911 handguns out there.

By far, it is the best 1911 I've ever shot.

The one you had built sounds sweet! Post some pics of it if ya can. I'd like to see it.

Re: New toys - 12/27/2012 8:43 AM

Nike Air Max Game Day a great basketball shoe with a great look with clean lines and back to basketball basic functions. Design feature that struck me the most, an ankle support is available. Upper consists of breathable synthetic, cutting and detailed wind and heel quarter, which breathes like Huarache. Ankle was good. I felt the lock on the back heel on the side. The lateral movement has not been compromised, but not as strong as other Nike basketball shoes. In general, I like this basketball shoe for the price and features you get. The total length Air Max sole Butte’s soft and supple.

Around the legs, the legendary Nike Air Max 1 most popular shoes ever uncomfortable. (The requirement means that the Adidas Superstar, in fact, is not as popular as some of them.) I think, AM95 sounds impressive, but was "Air" bags like bags of rocks for me. And I do not want to be like massive tools feel clumsy feet departure. Since I'm still here is that I am not in any way shape or other fan from heel to toe shoes Air Maxi do not know how air Max as something much more than direct access even to the point suggested by its name, I do not know what the tribunal finds awkward, and I do not know how it felt in watching the slow, shoes. Thus, having been so distinguished a fan of the way on the airline Zoom Lebrun James signature is used, I was less optimistic about the change of absorption of technology and, of course, went to test my Air Max 1 low expectations.

There is good news on the building side of things, such as materials selected to work not only increases the value of shoes, actually. Fly wire large plates do exactly what they need to reduce weight without assistance. If the system is fully tightened, Nike schuhe was a pleasant stroll. I, unfortunately, because of the excessive volume of the leg, but has also created one of the largest toe hawks I have ever known. The new bag of Air Max is also a big jump from the previous models, and gives you a much better court feel as if I expect this type of bag system. It is closer to the ground, and always produces a soft touch - at least in the heel.

As far as I think many of my frustrations in this shoe just personal preference, there are areas unforgivable, and it fits in the heel and safety. Between the fingers of many volume and heels reckless approach, I would recommend would probably half of what you normally wear. Even the fact that it was because of how the filler neck is designed and developed, it just will not lock the type of heel that I feel at the highest level of basketball is important. Shoes the full range of the price range of both Nike and Jordan Brand, started the match more and more attention to the neck - and there is no justification, performance wise, no more security Nike air max classic the heel, so if you are actually buying 1 Hoop you want to be free of color patent control in the neck. Even with long toes, there is some unpleasant friction that occurs due to the inherent lack of friction materials.

Perhaps as a whole is really a lot of Nike Air Max 90, perhaps, and many promises he has, I believe, some significant performance improvements over time before it is ready to stack up to what it could to. Changing the signature technology of shoes of the biggest star was a bold move by Nike Basketball. It is a very positive step, but it could, if future iterations of Air Max, like many of improvement. Think, Nike air max classic, what the beginning of an exciting new era for the line, but as a refinement of 7 years the value of progress. And even if you do not like Max to go to air, it could be worse. At least; this is not the complete lunar foam

I laughed my head off. We can get threads locked, but we can't get spam blocked like the thread before this one here by Trinitee. LOL

This wasn't meant to poke fun at anyone, it was my way of asking to have the spam that was posted at 0243 on the 27 of Dec taken off.
