I'm running low on A5744, which is my go-to powder for my 375 H&H reduced loads, but the Hornady manual also lists reduced data for 4227. Has anyone here used 4227 for reduced recoil rifle loads?

Not 4227...

I have used 4198 and the Lyman 264gr load. It was mild and very accerate.

Keep us updated.

Wolf,

Have you checked out IMR-4759, burn rate similar to AA5744, been around and used for cast bullet loads in rifles for 50+ years.

I have used IMR-4759 for reduced loads in the 375 H&H and 416 Rigby. However, I recently read they are going to stop production.....
