219 Donaldson Wasp ? - 01/08/2015 10:31 PM

Hi,
Just starting to develop loads for a 219 Wasp in a Contender pistol. Been playing with 1x 30-30 brass to learn how to form. Getting decent at it and now ready to really start forming with GOOD brass Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations of which brand to use. Also have a little over 100 219 Zipper headstmped brass. If I could find 200 to 300 more 219 Zipper brass would probably go with it. Any leads on 219 Zipper headstamped brass would be appreciated .
Would also be interested in any powder choices.

Thanks in advance
Doug

What lube are you using to form the cases? Imperial Sizing Die Wax is the ONLY way to go!

Started with One Shot, learned real quick about Imperial sizing wax. Also curious if anyone has tried nickel brass to reform?
Thanks

tred,

avoid nickel brass for case forming.

You might try taking a 7-30 waters die with no expander then try to size down from there.

Keep in mind if you can get the neck the right dia. You can add 4-5 gr or bullseye and a cotton ball and fire form the brass
