Red Dot Failure

My red dot is broken on my 629 44 Mag..lts a Leapers UTG that came with the gun. l called S&W and they said to send it back They would give me a new one free of charge..They said this was the first failure they had heard of with this sight on this gun model. The load was a 220gr swc gc and 20gr SR4759. A strong load @ app 1200fps.. Certianly not a max one.. There has been 2000rds thru the gun since new..l hope this does not happen again.. My tired eye NEEDS a red dot

The Ultradot I had on my mod 29 stood up to a steady diet of 320s at 1300+fps & never hickuped. Since then its been on my 480 SRH with 400s in the 1200fps range. Never hickuped.
