Brought the Twins home today - 03/20/2015 8:57 PM
Finally got by my FFL today to pick up my newly acquired 5 guns. They were built back in 1999 and shot very little. I believe the shot count on the 500 is 45 and the 475 has been shot 82 times. Cant wait to get to the range and see how they shoot.

Both are stamped 211. I guess both were the 211th one made in that caliber by John.

The guy I bought them from also has a heavy 5 shot 45 LC with the same 211 from John. He's not ready to part with it yet.

Those are beautiful. What loads are you going to shoot in them?

Thanks. I loaded some 440 gr LFNGC Reece bullets over 17 gr of HS-6 for the 500L and 14.5gr of HS-6 under a 400 gr LFNGC to just have something to shoot this morning. I'll start on load development later next week.

Just got back from the range. Shot about 25 rounds thru each revolver. They both shot great. Shot offhandedly at a few targets. Looks like they will both do the job as long as I do my part. I took a new bowling pin that I had sitting in the shop. I guess they are not make to be shot with hard cast out of a big bore. The bowling pin went to pieces at it spun, jumped, and bounced as it went down range.

That's a pretty nice brace you got there, Badubet. I saw those go up for sale a while back and wondered which lucky dog got to take them home. It's good to see it's someone who will give them a bit of field time!
