Decapping pin help - 03/21/2015 8:48 AM
Need some help guys. I broke the decapping pin on my RCBS 475L sizing die last night. It's the type that has a threaded head to attach to the threaded adjustment rod the goes thru the die. I'm having trouble figuring which one on there website is the correct one. Thanks in advance

I'd bet if you email RCBS and tell them which die you have, they would send you one, gratis.

I normally use Lee dies but this set came with the revolver. The dies bumped around during shipment and bent the pin. When I tried straightening it the end broke off.

Is it a headed pin or straight sided?

It has a knurled female threaded head that screws on the threaded adjustment rid that comes out of the top of the sizing die.

Still pretty sure it is the pin I mentioned in my first post.
I would call RCBS on Monday to verify.

I sent them a email and asked. I do think the one you mentioned is it.

Make sure the pin is snugged up and the threads in the die tight or the misalignment will cause a break when the pin hits brass instead of primer. I learned the hard way.

Just got a reply from RCBS. They stated it is part #9622. They also stated they sent one out no charge. How awesome is that for customer service?
