I may be the odd one on this. I prefer and shoot better with a 4 inch barrel over a longer barrel on my handguns that wear iron sites.

Be nice if I am not the only oddball out there.

I had a super Blackhawk with a 10 1/2 inch barrel and sold it to buy a redhawk with a 5 1/2 inch barrel. I shot the shorter barrel much better.

Well from my perspective REDHAWK1954 that counts as you and me thus far a shooting shorter tubes better.

Well we are going three for three with the shorter tubes.

Nice choice too junebug. Old school.

I don't have a favorite. It depends on the gun and it's intended usage.

My favorite short is the 5.5" Ruger Bisley. Just love the way it feels.

I think that is one of the major factors to shooting a short gun well is the fit and feel of the gun.
Some I have had feel like having a brick in your hand while others have felt like they were made just for me.
Two of my three favorites are that way.

And yes Skeeter. They are .357"s......

Logic and science would suggest that the further that 2 points are apart the more precisely the points can be aligned. But it makes no difference if you have both eyes shut and your head out of the way when you yard on the trigger!..LOL haha

This is 100 yards with a 7 1/2" SBH over the hood of my truck....there is NO way I could do this with my 3 3/4" SBH. I've tried! The short gun is no less accurate, but it just can't be pointed as well...but for abvious reasons the "Little Big Gun" gets carried a lot more miles
The groups get REAL small when I break out the 10 5/8" S&W model 29 Silhouette
