bipod use - 03/29/2017 10:22 PM

So I was having a discussion today at work with a guy that might be a blowhard of types but this came up. Showed him one of my strikers with a bipod attached. He said you can't have one on a pistol. So I did a little research and found you cant have a fore grip on a handgun. He said that's why we cant have the ruger charger in nys. That is not the case as ny will not allow them due to the magazine being loaded in front of the grip.

I know and you know a bipod is not a fore grip but what's your thoughts on this? Caught me off guard for sure.

Nope. Not a forward grip.....
Fore grip on a handgun is as far as I remember a AOW per ATF and requires the $5.00 tax stamp.

The Charger has several issues for NYS. First, mag outside of the grip. Second, the 50oz, manufactured weight. And the third is threaded barrel on semi-auto pistol . Only, law enforcement can buy them here. Real f@@king nonsense. I own one, that has to remain outside of NY, till my departure from this NY mess.

Wow.....Mean not to offend anyone but NY sounds like it sucks when it comes to gun laws....

Wants AK's ?????
Nothing larger than 10 gauge...No fully automatics. No gas guns and no explosives for hunting critters. Pretty much it.......
Ownership is okay as long as everything is lawful. Open or concealed carry with no permission needed. Private sale of all firearms are just that.

Bipods don't qualify as foregrip.

GOD BLESS TEXAS......

that was my argument. you just have to wonder if some think the bipod is a grip and would give you a hard time over it. im not taking mine off by any means
