Rem 700 CP - 11/02/2018 2:39 PM
Anyone have any more insight into this?
@4:25 in the following video
https://guntalk.com/new-shotguns-remington-nasgw-2018-gun-talk-liveAppears that Remington is getting back in the game with a chassis pistol. I wonder what the cost will be and hope they offer it in a left handed version.

If it?s over $1K, or MAYBE $1,200 they will have shot themselves in the foot.
If they want to win out, they have to crush Nosler on the price point.

You can get a threaded Remington 700 SPS for right around $500 +/-
Add a $350 to $450 chassis and voila! $1K-ish.
So, this pistol doesn?t have to break the bank. It ain?t nothing special. The price should (though probably won?t) reflect that.
I've got one coming for review. MSRP - $1020. 300 BLK, 223, 308 Win. Barrel length not to my liking.

not a bad MSRP, but doesn't leave much room to rebarrel for length or caliber

How about 14" in 243,260,7mm-08,308,338Fed,358win.
Apart from the barrel length, that sounds pretty decent!

They should should have brought it out in a left port/left bolt for right-hand shooters, and the barrel length...not impressed. Probably fine for the BO, but...
For me, I like the RB/RP being a lefty!

Mark you need to strongly encourage them to put a longer barrel (14-15 Inch)on all except the 300 BO. They also need a 6.5 and 7mm chambering.
Now to see what they have for a chassis.

i dont mean to be big green basher (see below) BUT id wait a couple of years to buy one to see if the 1st issue had some small troubles like the bolt falling off, safety not working, wont feed / eject, etc. It's too bad, i just dont trust Remington anymore.

A better chassis design would be something along the lines of the MDT LSS chassis.
more functional forend, and the back end of it could be bobbed/cut-off to have a better line as well.
