TC Contender Forearm - 07/13/2019 1:29 AM
Hi. I have an option to pickup an octagon barrel for my Contender. I have a small TC synthetic forearm for 10 inch bull barrels, and a Pachmayr forend as well. Do I need a special forearm for this, or will one of these fit the octagon barrel?
Thanks in advance.

I don't have an octagon barrel, but I honestly feel that both of the ones that you have will fit...the wooden ones that I have had to be altered, but they are straight bull barrels.....I wish that I could tell you for sure

I RECENTLY ACQUIRED SOME OLDER OCTAGON BARRELS, THEY NEED A 1 SCREW OCTAGON BARREL FOREARM. MAYBE YOU COULD MAKE A ROUND BARREL ONE WORK, NONE OF WHAT I HAD WORKED (OR DID NOT LOOK RIGHT?). YOU CAN FIND THE OLD OCTAGON FOREARMS FOR SALE ON EBAY.

If anyone has one they want to sell let me know. Thanks.
I want to keep mine, But 45MAN is right the Octagons work better with a forearm that is designed for them.
My forearm came with my barrel. Again just one screw.

Well, I got the barrel, plus he had a forearm to go with it. It's an 8" in 357.

ruger4570: A HANDY SIZED PACKAGE. IF YOU ARE GOING TO PUT OPTICS ON IT, REVIEW THE "SCOPING OCTAGON CONTENDERS" TOPIC.
