Vortex 2x7 Scout Scope - 09/19/2019 12:38 AM
Does anyone have any experience and/or opinions on using this scope on a handgun? I noticed it has 9.45" eye relief and I was thinking about trying one on a CVA Scout. It's a 6.5 with muzzle brake and recoils very little. What say you?

Zee did a review on that exact combo.

My son uses scout scopes on his pistols.Easier to get a full field of view from hunting positions and tree stands with the shorter eye relief. He prefers the Bushnell over the Vortex, better crosshair for him. He uses his on his 7-30 Waters with no problems.

I ended up putting a 2-8x Weaver Pistol Scope on the .243 Win Scout Pistol and moving the Vortex 2-7x Scout Scope over to my .223 Rem Contender Pistol.

I have two NcStar illuminated 2-7 scout scopes, both on 22's. One on my Single Six Hunter, and one on my TC Contender. I like the shorter eye relief on these for squirrel hunting, as I usually have my bent instead of straight.

Thanks PsTaN and Zee! I think you guys have answered all the concerns I had. I believe I'll go with a pistol scope. It's nice to have a place like this to go and get real world info. instead of having to take a chance and purchase something and not be satisfied with it. Thanks again.
