Great job! What distance were you shooting?

Just 25 yards to start out. First time shooting the Ultradot. Intended just to get it on paper and the rain stopped my shooting session.

Had shot a previous 5 shot group and made my adjustments. If it would ever stop raining in the jungles of eastern Nebraska I will shoot out to 50 and 100 yards.

355 grain hard cast under 11.5 grains of Titegroup. Mild load by Buffalo bore standards.

With my .500 S&W and FA .475L with UltraDots I'm hitting 6" rocks with regularity at 100. On long shots turn the dot down as far as you can barely see it. The higher settings make the dot get a halo effect and you can't see your target unless it's really big.
The key thing is practice, and lots of it.

Try out something White for a target.
White paper desert plates are not bad at 100 yards.
Use a Can, etc. to mark out smaller targets for closer range. Cut them out, and stick them on a contrasting background such as cardboard with spray adhesive, or just tape them on.
The Red Dot will show up much better on a White Target.
Makes centering the Dot easier to get a Zero on the sight.
