500 Linebaugh bore brushes - 12/20/2019 3:18 PM

Looking for advice cleaning my 500 Linebaugh BFR. I can?t find pistol bore brushes in 0.510? diameter. I?m using 0.500? brush with Chore Boy copper cleaning pad wrapped around it to build up the diameter. And 0.500? brass jags with doubled up patches. There must be a better solution... I hope! I feel like I?ve exhausted my web search. What are you 500L shooters using?

I use 28ga. Brushes, just make sure you push all the way thru and all the way back out. No half way stops and starts.

You can also get some Black powder brushes,,, They are usually in Nylon. Calibers are in 54 cal and 58 cal The 28 gauge is considered 55 cal. All three are greater than .510
I have told this before on this forum that the larger brushes are great for cylinder chambers.
A nylon brush will back out as apposed to a brass brush.
