Always dreamed of having a revolver chambered in 357 Remington Maximum
Aside from Ruger making a revolver in 357 Maximum in the 1980?s has any other maker produced a revolver in 357 Maximum?
I have a 12?, 357 Maximum in T/C Contender. Little Thunder.

Wasn?t Dan Wesson?s version based off a 1.4? case length? Didn?t think the chamber was designed for the 1.6? maximum case.

Dan Wesson is a Maximum as well as US sportings Seville.

The Dan Wessons were chambered in .357 SuperMag based on a 1.61? case length - pretty much a Maximum clone but designed for heavy bullets.

The Maximum and Super Mag are the same cartridge.

They are THE SAME cartridge....just like the 300 Whisper and the 300 Blackout, or the 475 JDJ and the 475 GNR.....😉

I am thinking of the 360 Dan Wesson case which is only 1.4? long vs the 357 Maximum which is 1.6? long.

I have an US Arms, Seville, 357 Max, SS, 7.5" barrel in new, unfired condition. I shoot my Rugers and Contenders in 357 Max.. The Abiline is an excellent quality single action revolver that was seen in silhouette shooting frequently.

I have a Dan Wesson Super Mag along with two Contender barrels in .357 Max. All shoot better than me.
Also had a Ruger Blackhawk in .357 Max. Wound up selling it as I just couldn't shoot it well.
Wish I could make a ten inch Contender barrel in that caliber work for me but the blast and recoil are just a bit much.

Place a break on a 10"-12" Contender barrel, that should tone down the recoil, the blast - just don't be standing to the side (depends on the brake). A suppressor works great, if your state allows such.
