Revolver wish list

Revolver wish list - 01/27/2020 5:56 PM

I wish BFR would make a full size Bisley revolver in 22 long rifle.

7.5 inch barrel, scope rail and 6 shots.

Would love to have a top of the line 22 revolver to go with my BFR 475 Linebaugh

What does everyone else wish for?

A BFR in 454 with 5" barrel all in Black Nitride. Like my SRH 454 in tumbled gray but I really like the Black Nitride on the BFR's. Plus, just love the 454 cartridge.

Mine is simple. A Ruger flat top in 44 Special. I've had two S&Ws and let them get away but I'm older and wiser now. I won't let that happen again.

I'd love a Freedom Arms revolver. Don't know what caliber or model, I just want one.

I have the flattop .44 special,be aware it has the small grip frame from the 3 screw single six . Not a great grip if you have big hands. j.m.h.o. I modified a Pachmayr to fit mine that helped.

What about the Bisley grip framed Flat top 44 Sp? That would be a good choice if you can find one.

I would love to have a barrel in 22lr for my contender, either a 12 or 14 inch with a good variable scope.

John Powers is working on one for me now. Scoped Bisley 10 1/2". Tuned and refinished in matt blue. Gonna be a deer killer.

Pretty happy with what I have, but if i came across a model 24 S&W 44 special for a decent price i might buy it. I think that's the right model number if not James can correct me.

Mr. Bisley I would really like to have a S&W 629 Hunter from the Performance Center in 44 mag but it is not in my budget at this time.

Re: Revolver wish list - 01/30/2020 3:04 AM

Thanks for the advice junebug! I had a single six with a nine inch barrel that I hunted squirrels with and really liked but I don't know about that small grip on a 44 Special? Haven't got to hold one yet. They are kinda rare in these parts.

I would like a 460 Smith and Wesson with a X-frame with a 6.5 inch half-lug barrel and integral compensator like the 500 Smith and Wesson model I already own. Like its look and balance in my hand.

Re: Revolver wish list - 02/17/2020 11:07 AM

S&W 1917 .45acp. Not just any one, I'll know it went i see it. had to let it get away some years ago, I believe that we will cross paths again.
An N frame 357 might be nice or a .38spl Single six, or a 5 shot .45lc Ruger Vaquero ( I know sights just but this idea just tickles my fancy) F.A. M83 .44 mag. or a M24 44spl or a .........

Re: Revolver wish list - 02/17/2020 6:43 PM

The only gun I was interested was a Power custom Redhawk and the only person I knew had one was JDJones. When I asked him about it he told me he had sold it six months earlier... For those guys on this post that wish for a Freedom Arms, I can say that I`ve owned every caliber model 83 that Freedom has made and know that they are just about the best your money can buy...

Re: Revolver wish list - 02/29/2020 2:53 AM

A BFR 475 Linebaugh/480 Ruger with octagon barrel and made to a length that would support a integral barrel band to block the ejector rod tube from being loosened under recoil without the need of epoxy to fix it to the barrel as Magnum Research uses as protocol. And a BFR Bisley model grip too.
