45MAN,,,No experience with them,,, but I will point out that it is nice that they are not of the long cylinder type that others are. No need for a 410 shot shell IMO. There is some writeups, such as a NRA one on the net.
According to that writeup the gun performed best with 200gr ammo. If,, this matters to you. I am speaking of POA VS POI.
The Undercovers and the Bulldogs seem to be very accurate out to about 20-25yds but that is their limit. Came close to grabbing a Bulldog 2 days ago until the sticker shock knocked me flat. The LGS wanted new price for a used one. Had a Undercover in 38sp for years and it was very accurate.
I dont think you would go wrong with one. I have some of the 200gr that are Powder coated, that you could try.

45MAN you are a sage advisor. Glad you post your experience and offer a helping hand too. I am glad I have invested in my 329PD as my EDC weapon. That stainless steel cylinder looks good with the polished hammer and polished trigger Mag-Na-Port did for it.

I have had a number of bulldogs over the years. All 44spl and would not hesitate to get another. Only problem I ever had was someone always wanted it more than I did and was willing to put their $ where their mouth was.

I almost picked one up a few years ago in 44 special. It had to be the roughest and weakest made looking revolver I've ever seen. People talk well about them , maybe I'll give one a try.

THE 45 COLT MODEL IS AN XL BULLDOG, SUPPOSEDLY A BIGGER FRAME THAN THE 44 SPECIAL BULLDOG. GUYS DO SPEAK WELL OF THE CHARTER REVOLVERS, THIS WILL BE MY FIRST ONE.

GOT THE XL BULLDOG 45 COLT LATE LAST WEEK, SHOT IT YESTERDAY AND TODAY (3/8/20). IT HAS A NICE SERRATED RAMP FS, AN EXCELLENT SQUARE NOTCH RS, TRIGGER PULL SA AND DA BOTH FEEL REAL GOOD, AND IT IS JUST SMALL ENUFF TO CONSIDER FOR OCCASSIONAL POCKET CARRY. SHOT IT WITH MY EVERYDAY S&W LOADS (9grs UNIQUE, FEDERAL 150 PRIMERS, STARLINE CASES AND A 250gr RNFP AND A 255gr SWC). IT KICKS BUT NOT TOO BAD. MAY BE MORE COMFORTABLE TO SHOOT WITH SOME FINGER GROOVE SMOOTH WOOD GRIPS THAN WITH THE FACTORY RUBBER BUT THIS AIN'T NO PLINKER AND SHOOTING SESSIONS WILL BE SHORT. EASY EJECTION. GOT 3 FIRED CASES (BRASS THAT HAD BEEB SHOT SEVERAL TIMES IN MISCELLANEOUS REVOLVERS) AND RESIZED THEM AND THEN TRIED TO CHAMBER THEM IN A JRH CHAMBERED RUGER BISLEY. THIS BISLEY HAS SUPER TIGHT CHAMBERS, TIGHTER THAN MY LINEBAUGH 45 COLT REDHAWK (44 MAG CONVERTED TO 45 COLT). THE RESIZED CASES SLIPPED RIGHT IN SO CASE BULGING IS NOT AN ISSUE WITH THOSE LOADS. THROATS ARE TIGHT, .452 CAST BULLETS DO NOT FALL THRU, AND THE BARREL/CYLINDER GAP LOOKS TIGHT. I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS, MY FIRST CHARTER ARMS REVOLVER. THE GUN SHOOTS PRETTY LOW BUT THAT CAN BE FIXED WITH JUDICIOUS FILING OF THE FS. A SPEER SHOT LOAD SHOT UP A CACTUS PATTY PRETTY DAMN GOOD SO THIS WILL BE AN EFFECTIVE SNAKE GUN. SO FAR SO GOOD, AND BETTER THAN I EXPECTED.

EDIT ON 3/9/20: THE GUN SHOOTS LOW, NOT HIGH AS ORIGINALLY POSTED IN ERROR.

Interested to see this.

I have been looking at one of their new guns in .45 ACP, the Pit Bull I believe. I've had a few of the .44s and liked them but did have some issues with the reliability in my Pug.

Haven't pulled the trigger on one yet as the reviews are mixed and I'm not willing to gamble the $550 they want for it at the local gun shop. I'll have to check the difference between that and the XL.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks for sharing the report. Hope you get it shooting POA to POI soon. Having that XL for a snake charmer sounds good.
Glad you got this one.
