had one for about 8 months or so. 200 grain serria fp 36-37 grains RE-7. this load is safe in my gun work up slowly on yours. this load has worked really good for me on hogs. so far have shot 4 hogs out to 94 yards and haven't recovered a bullet yet two were drt and two only ran 40 yards. I had willicd76 put a brake on it to tame it down to pussycat level. if you want something other than a fp bullet lehigh makes their chaos bullet from 175 to 250ish

I have a Contender but I?ve always shot factory 200 gr. loads in it. I haven?t shot it in years though. HSM now makes factory ammo with the 200 gr. Game Kings. Got some, but haven?t shot any. Neglect on my part.....

Depends a bit on your firearm...lever, falling block, break open action rifle or pistol. I prefer AA1680 with 200s and 220s, it gives considerably higher velocity than Reloder 7 at factory pressures with good accuracy in my rifles.

The 220gr Vollmer bullet in Starline brass with a healthy dose of RL7.

I was very impressed with Dave Thomas and his 375 when he came to hunt hogs. I have seen these animals shot with everything under the sun and the 375 was as decisive a killer as anything I've seen to date. It doesn't hurt that Dave is also a phenomenal shot with his handgun.

thanks Chuck, Good Lord willing we will be back in February to repeat the Process and fill the freezer again. Will definitely have the 375 win. I have been searching for a different caliber to mess with but a max load of RE-7 and a 200 grain bullet just performs so good that think i will stick with it for awhile. With as many hogs that we saw it is hard to book somewhere else and we only saw a small portion of your property.
