Question about Freedom Arms 83

Question about Freedom Arms 83 - 01/01/2021 7:43 PM

I hate buying things without being able to coon-finger it first but there are no stocking dealers near me. My question is, how are the triggers out of the box without the factory trigger job? Specifically creep - not so much the trigger weight itself.

If I'm going to have to spend several hundred dollars on shipping both ways and the trigger work, it might off-set any savings from buying one used.

Thanks in advance.

There is no creep what so ever on any Freedom Arms. Stock trigger will be approximately 5lbs and the trigger job will be approximately 3lbs.

I had the trigger job done on mine. I truly prefer a 3 pound pull over a 5 pound. In fact, I don't know why anyone would want 5 pound, unless they had difficulty with feelings in their fingers.
Everyone has their preferences.
I would have had the trigger lighter, if they would have done it that way.
Always felt like a, "I gotcha" price increase when you are already paying top dollar for a quality revolver...should have a great trigger to begin with. I really liked my FA 454, and the other FA 454 I used for a hunting season after I moved to Wyoming.
