Sixgunner Articles Needed

As most of you know, I am in the process of restarting Handgun Hunters International. While it will not be the only focus of the organization, The Sixgunner was the premiere handgun hunting periodical of its day and deserves to be resurrected in digital form. To start (and since this is a one-man show) it will be quarterly.

One of the great strengths of The Sixgunner is that it is driven by member participation. Toward that end, I am seeking articles by those who were and/or plan to be members of HHI. While I am seeking some writing by professionals, I love the member-author aspect of this community.

One last thing: The Sixgunner will feature a diversity of opinion and will not have an agenda regarding what can and can't be written about handgun hunting. Whether you shoot cast or jacketed, SP's or revolvers or autos, hunt at short range or long range, use rifle or pistol scopes, etc. - all will be welcomed!

I know we have a wealth of experience among this group and we can continue to move forward with our great sport and add to our ranks!

45MAN: I'd prefer new articles since the old Sixgunner is already going out to everyone. If you want to revisit some of those articles, that's fine. For instance, if you changed your mind about something you said or you've learned something new related to what was in the old article.

Word document, Adobe, PowerPoint? JPEG pics? What’s you’re preferred format?

Can we resubmit articles that are posted on this site that were never in the Sixgunner?

Preferred format is Word document or Google doc. Pictures, JPEG.

The articles can be from this site as long as they were not printed in the original Sixgunner.

If you want, you can use the Rifle Scopes On Specialty Pistols article.
I would want to edit some things and add some things, since that is an old article.

Sounds like fun. I have tons of data hunting with automatics that you don't see every day. It might be worth putting into articles.

I highly value diversity of opinion, and the new Sixgunner will reflect that. Whether you shoot cast or jacketed, SP's or autos or revolvers, hunt long range or short range, you are welcome under our big tent!

One rule is going to be that you are certainly welcome to share any opinion you have, but I will not have anyone disparaging another's opinion. If it works for you and it's legal, go for it!

Much needed...

I hunt with everything from double action, single action, open sighted, scoped, single shots, autos and probably more that I can't think of at the moment. I hope to contribute a bit of all of it. All disciplines are good.

I am happy to see that all equipment is welcome. Just Revolvers, or Just Contenders would really limit the knowledge base.
