Weaver Riflescopes - 01/07/2009 3:43 AM

Natchez just released an E-flyer earlier today advertising some really low prices on Weaver Classic Extreme riflescopes...never had any experience with them (Weaver's altogether), and can't find much on the web as far as feedback on the product.

Got my interest for sure, but not willing to throw out 250 on a whim. Pretty partial to Leupolds, but looking for an economical scope to go on a varmint caliber rifle...

Anybody use Weaver's? Heard anything about these scopes?

I have a Weaver V-16 on a 223 handgun barrel. Before that it was on the XP 100 in 221 FB. Great scope, very clear and bright, no problems. My brother has had a couple Grand Slams and they are even nicer. I would rate the Weaver Grand Slam, the Bushnell 4200, and the Nikon Monarch all on the same plane.

I looked at the flyer, kind of makes you wonder if this is something a guy should grab as you'll never see a $550.00 scope for $250.00 any time soon. OR if something is wrong and they are being discontinued.

The optic zone has the 2.5 to 10 for $550.00, not quite as high as Natches shows the list price.

I have a V10 (2-10X) rifle scope and two pistol scopes (fixed 2X and fixed 4X). They are clear and reliable. I'd bite on the deal.

That illuminated scope has been in the "Add To Cart" several times in the last day...temptation, temptation.

I have a 6 power scope I have had for years and its on loan to a friend now.I have one on my S&W and its clear. My dad bought one in the late 70's and used it until late 90's when the cross hair broke, sent it to weaver and they sent him a brand new scope, that qualifies to me as great customer service.I like them and pick up all the good used ones I can find.

I saw that one as well. The only reason I haven't jumped is I just got a Burris 3x9 tac30 from them for my AR-10 about a week ago. Christmas/Birthday play money all gone for now.

I have seen those 1.5 x 4 illuminated on ar 15's they are a nice comprimise between a close quarters sight and medium range tacticle scope. Even though I'm broke the german recticle model has been in my cart several times too!

I have a Weaver K2.5 on my Marlin 35rem. I realy like it alot and will prolly get a weaver 1.5-4x on my tender next month. The one on the Marlin has kept its zero through 3 years and a hog hunt that I got 2 hogs with. It is very clear for a compact scope, heck its clear for any scope. That scope itself has made me trust Weaver. I have also fired 30 plus rounds of Buffalo Bore stuff through it with no problem, not that thats a real test but its been lugged rounf for 3 years to the range hunting etc. I think for the money Weaver is a good buy. it also has 4' of eye releif so no "scope eye".
