Anyone got any experiences with the DeerStalker or 44carbine?

Nope...but I always thought one of those would be kinda cool to have.

Had the Deerfield and the 77/44 allweather! Both guns were good shooters. Very light and hardly and recoil. Wish I still had both! I think the Deerfield is just a new model of the DeerStalker.

I built a ruger deer stalker carbine for my dad a few years ago.I put a 1.5 x 5 simmons scope on it. Light weight and little recoil. The last time he sat in a stand before he passed away he killed two deer with it. The only problem we had was it was very ammo selective. It would ONLY group with 240gr. American Eagle Ammo. I tried all kinds and weights of bullets. Every thing else was all over the paper. I never new why.
