Just a thought but has anyone put together a handgun with a rifle reciever and if so what did you think about it ? This is one of those "Laying in the bed and cant sleep thoughts"

I thought of a left handed reciever , bull barrel ported 308.

Please don't use a rifle action to build a handgun, as it would get you in trouble.
It would be fine to buy like a new non-designated Rem 700 Short action and build a 308 Win off of that though.

Thats what Im talking about I probably worded it wrong.I was talking to a gunsmith about a yr ago and the subject came up and it just resurfaced. I cant remember if he said you can buy a non-designated reciever or not though. Im thinking it would be cool ordealnow tht Im done tinkering with my other handguns. Where would I get apistil grip made for it ?
