I just finished a new holster for my FA. I carry it all the time around town under a jacket, vest or loose shirt as well as on horseback and hiking. It rides close and tight and you actually forget a chunk of steal that heavy in hangin' on your side.

If it were supposed to be easy, they'd have sent my little sister to do it.

Nice work Briar! Nothing like doing something like that on your own. Makes it that more special.

infantryhammer, With Buffalo Bore 325grn 45colt +P, the kick is pretty sharp, about like my 44mag NMSBH 4 5/8 bbl with BB 305grn. My accuracy is a little off due to the shorter bbl, I have to work on that. My son and I are setting up our re-load bench, so that should help.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. Some things are just more fun and mean more if you can design and make them yourself. Whatever that something might be. It's more personal.

I just wish I could build a custom revolver that I could then turn around and build a custom holster for. Now THAT would be the pinnacle.

Alas, leather is more my speed than steel.
