I picked up a few BP pistols for a estate sale. Not really sure the ages or the calibers on 3 of them. Could someone point me in the right direction to do some research on them?

This one is a 45cal. single shot

This one is a SBS unknown cal.

This iis a U/O

I don't have a clue as to origins, but cool stuff there.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

if those are originals you may have hit the jack pot but dixie gunworks does sell replicas. You'll probably have to either mic the barrels yourself or have a gunsmith check them for you which would be a good idea anyways if you want to shoot them. I'll check my catalog from dixie and see if I can get models for you.

The bottom gun according to my Dixie Gunworks catalog is a "Snake Eye" pistol, the next one up is called the "Twister Pistol" I believe the top one is a "Philedelphia Derringer". They list only kits for these guns and the grips and hardware description match your pics. If these are the same repro's the first two I listed are .36 cal and the last is .45 cal. Are there any markings on them at all? I'm still looking for the second one down. I'm going by the top picture.

I used to have the snake eyes pistol and the Philly Derringer. the snake wasn't much fun to shoot cause both barrels fire at the same time, but the Philly was a literal blast to shoot. Go to http://www.dixiegunworks.com and you should be able to find them. Good luck with the info search and have fun with the little boogers.

I have two guns like the top one, both 45 cal. I also have one like the side by side with wood grips under it. It is a 36 cal. It has never been fired.
