Tioga Ranch in Pennsylvania near the NY border about 10 miles south of Corning, NY. Mike Gee is the owner. They are on the web.

The "Pig Farm" is just off of RT.80 about 50 miles from Ohio. Not as big as Tioga but also has good quality boar. They are on the web....

James is the right man for the advice given. Just look at his pictures on here!

My son and I went to the Wilderness Lodge in Bedford co. outside the town of Everett. They work very hard to get you a boar and have a enjoyable experience.

Can second that. The Wilderness is a very nice place and the owner and his family are great people.

Wrote a piece on it here a long time ago.

Thanks guys for this thread and leading back to Mike's write up. I live in Bethlehem Pa and was thinking of a bear hunt in Maine this year. The season runs till the end of Sept and that seems too soon for me to go. Maybe next year.

But a Boar hunt 3 hours away from me instead of 12 hours is almost a done deal! Calling tomorrow to get some live talking details I'll let you know how I make out!!!

Any reason why a NY ranch would not work? We've hunted the Big Boar Lodge several times over the past 10 years and have had a good hunt each time.

[quote=Whitworth][quote=Bllade] it is just a whole lot of fun blasting away with that big loud obnoxious hand gun :). No matter what... just go have fun!!

I think that if an out of stater wanted to handgun hun in NY it might pose a little problem. The only hunting preserve I've hunted was Tioga, the hunt was fun, but accomodations were lacking.

Mikewin, I recognize that hillside where you shot your doe. That is almost the exact same spot where I shot my boar this yr. Is that karma or what!?
