Got to the range today with my 300 whisper. Its only my second day at the range with it and I love it. The one that is out there by itself was the first shot with a cold and oiled bore. 125gr nosler ballistic tip @ 2296fps average for 5 shots.

RR,

Looking good!

Haven't had a chance to get my new-to-me 300 Whisper out to play yet...just picked it up from USPS last Tuesday. I'm planning on trying the 240 gr SMKs out of it (1 in 8" twist, 10" barrel) Since then work, chasing hogs, getting bow stands ready, and shooting a dove bird or two has occupied my time. Been a busy couple of days!

Hope I get the same accuracy results that you've achieved!

Mine is a 1 in 10" so it won't stabilize those big bullets. Its ok though as I don't know that I would shoot them anyways. Good luck!!

The 220 RNs loaded to 1,000 fps or so work very well on deer.

Thanks Rick!!!!

My 300 is a16.5in Encore Custom Shop, so I have to stick with the lighter bullets as well. I have only tried Seirras 125gr HPFN and H110. I will load up the Noslers when I get a chance.
