 Cant decide on what load to use for Wt deer

What load would be best for whitetail deer here in Vermont?
I am shooting a T/C encore pistol in 308 winchester 15 inch barrel
125 gr Nosler ballistic tip
52gr BL-C(2) Hodgdon
or
150gr Nosler Ballistic tip
47gr Varget Hodgdon

Whichever shoots the best would be my advice.

Whichever shoots the best would be my advice. Exactly....both will hammer a whitetail!
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

I prefer a 150 gr. in .308 for whitetail.

Thanks for the input. i was wondering will the 125gr open up faster and do more damage? Either will be going pretty fast. If you are expecting loooong shots the 125 will fly a little flatter. What kind of accuracy are you getting with BL-C(2)? I have been thinking of trying it in the Waters.

You are fine with both loads, I really like that BL-C2 powder in my 7 TCU and some others.

Ive loaded for a couple of different 308 win and have had real good sucess with RL 15 and another good bullet is the 150 gr SST.

I've taken over 50 deer with a .309 JDJ which is about equal to the .308. I've used 150 gr. BTs with AA2520 with excellant results out to 350 yards. Good trajectory, great expansion and terminal performance.

I used to have a 7-30 waters,killed 5 bucks with it a real sweet shooting round,I didnt try the blc2 powder in it but I used this load very acurate real smoked the bucks i SHOT WITH IT. I wish now that i never sold it,but a friend wanted it real bad.
140 gr Nosler ballistic tip
30.5 grs of H322

In the 308 Win, I'd personally opt for the 150 gr bullet.

just MHO... I have asked Nosler the same question and I would go with the 150's...
