...I have about 4 - 5 pounds of x700 left over from my shotshell reloading days. I'd like to use it up in my straight walled cases. I'm looking for plinking loads on the level of cowboy shooter loads, maybe 800fps. I have a bunch of 200 gr cast 45 bullets and a lot of 240 gr cast 44 bullets. I found a little data on-line but you guys have real world experience.

Suggestions?

I found it did not meter well and left big round circle flakes on everything after fireing.

I was not impressed

If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

H20BUG - I think you are correct. But, I plan on using dippers. I hate to see anything go to waste and since I'm only looking to shoot cans and carp out to 25 yards it does not need to be as accurate as my hunting loads.

I also found a few pounds of 4756 too. I think I'll go with a starting of X700 at 4.7 gr and 7.0 4756. According to the charts both should give me about 800fps w/ 180 - 200 gr. bullets.

Thanks,
Bill
