I had one of those in 41, nice gun. There are lots of them around so you should have no problem fulfilling that dream.

Mine is a pistol that eliminates all possible human error, and ALWAYS hits dead center, with no holdover at any distance! Until then, I'll settle for the Performance Center S&W 460 with a leupold. Yeah, I know it aint much to look at, but hey, I'm easily entertained!! I had one two years ago and sold it, but once I get my hands on another one, it will go to the grave with me.

My dream gun changes all the time. The trick is, to buy it BEFORE it changes to something else. Otherwise I might not get to buy anything.

Between my XP-100 7mm-270WSM, Competitor .308W and Ruger SBH Hunter .44 Mag (and .45LC to match it!) I have accumulated a dream gun for about every scenario.

But I have a safe full of T/C's, XP's and Rugers that I went through (and still own) to figure out that the three listed will do about ANYTHING I want to.

I've got several at the top of my list and you didn't specify handguns. My top dream guns are a 50 Barret although some of the new 416's and the 408 intrigue me. A Shiloh Sharps in 45-110 or 50-140. I'll eventually build myself a real tricked out revolver, I just haven't decided for sure on caliber but I'm leaning toward the .50x1.400 which is the same as the JRH but I'll build it as a functional but serious show piece. Lately though the Encores have my attention and I'm working on coming up with some chamberings that are rare or haven't been done and I've been fortunate to have Mike Bellm as a mentor in this area.

I have many on my wish list, but I think my #1 pick would be: FA's 97 with 5.5" octagonal barrel; chambered in 45LC; jeweled hammer and trigger set at 3lbs; rounded grip with black micarta panels; no front sight and topped with a JPoint sight....that would really make my tail wag!

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

I have 3 dream guns. Will probably never get a chance to shoot much less own any of them. The first would be a Fuch Double Repeater in .577 NE. If you've never seen one, you should look them up. 2 barrels, two triggers, two magazines, one bolt. Ejects on both sides.

The second would be a Phillip Ollendorf Solitaire in 300H&H, .577NE and .225 NE Flanged. Its like a side hammer H&R that in my mind competes with the finest works of art ever created. Once again if you've never seen one you should look them up.

3rd would just be a plain jane Automag with .44 AMP and .357 AMP barrels. Reading about the start up of IHMSA, Lee Jurras and Elgin Gates got me hooked on them. Really wish I could have known those fellows too.

HEY!!!! A fellow can dream right???

My dream gun isn't even a hunting handgun. I've always wanted a Armand Swenson 1911.

I would like to have SS 5.5" Bisley in .480 that was worked over by Bowen. Target rear sight, barrel band to support the ejector rod, all the usual tweaks that come on the Nimrod. And then by magic find one of those S&W 4 position front sights and have him stick that on it.

My all time favorite is my side by side 16 ga.
Short, fast swing, and that second trigger taps a full choke that really has the reach!
A single projectile is a hard pill to beat but a pattern compensates for many a misgiving.

I have to admit ever since I believe it was Death Wish 3 I've wanted a 475 Wildey but I've heard the accuracy is erratic.

If it's just for the heck of it, I'd like a Coonan .357

For real, I'd like Rod to build my 5-hole Bisley 480R one of these days.

Rod, too.

We'll get her done, that is starting to become a popular round. I have one gun in to be converted to 480 but it will be a long term project for a gentleman in South Africa and I'm supposed be getting another gun in to be converted to 480 pretty quick. The nice thing about that is if they ever decide they want or need more power I can always fit a 475 cylinder to it.

My Bisley hunter in 45lc is becoming my go to revolver these days. I am really enjoying the accuracy and easy shooting it provides. I am glad I bit the bullet and picked that one up!

I have mine it's a 500 S&W 12" MGM ported full bull barrel on an Encore. With great looking wood. I like the one-shooters better because I don't worry about the 2nd shot. It makes me make that one shot "be the shot". I read so much about how to make the follow up shoot. And I don't go though as much ammo at the range. I really don't know why but I don't use as much as if I take my 45 BH. But the Encore has been a dream of mine for a long time and when the 500 came out I knew I was in love. Be for my love was a 45-70 14" SSK 'tender. But maybe in time there will be a new love come along but the 45-70 was for 25+ years. It's going to take something great to knock off the 500 as my 2nd # 1 love.
But don't we all love anything that goes BANG!!!

I have my dream hunting handgun. It is my XP-100 .308. Once I brake it, it will be perfect.
My dream 'Any gun' is a Thompson submachinegun. I have fired them but cannot afford them. My semiautomatic Thompson is close.

With the 7mm you have all the intermediate stuff covered. I think a 338 something would have you covered from small to large. Maybe a 22 something as well for the x-small stuff. Yep, 3 barrels it is.

Rod, too.
