Does anyone know much about the Bushnell fixed power handgun scopes? I found one for sale, it is listed as 2x32. I have found plenty about the variables but almost nothing in regards to this scope. I found a chart that listed the eye relief and some dimensions but I would like to know what the quality is like. Will it hold up to use? Any known problems?

I have several variable Bushy's and never had a problem. I'd give a fixed power a try w/o hesitation. To add though, most of my small mag, fixed powers are Weaver.

I've got one on my Ruger SRH in 454 and never had a problem with it. Nice clear optics and consistently puts my bullets where I want 'em. Go for it.

Ok I got the scope for $80 shipped. I hope I did well, I am kind of nervous about it. It is not what I wanted but the price was right.

Yup, the fixed Bushnell is likely an older model. Absolutely nothing wrong with them. I have a couple. They work.

It's more important where you hit 'em, than what you hit 'em with.

I had one on a SBHH Bisley--Great scope

If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

I have had a fixed power (4x) Bushnell on my .375JDJ Contender since the early 80's and have shot hundreds of rounds thru it, not to mention it has traveled on many airplane rides and driving thru many states. It is still one of my go to guns, and the 4x keeps me from trying to over shoot the gun. if it looks too small in the scope, its probably too far away. I have never managed to knock it loose, or had to change anything on the scope/ mount set up.

You cant shoot a big one, if you shoot a little one first.......

I have had one on my 10 inch .357 Max for 24 years and have not ever had to adjust the zero in alll that time and approxametly 800 rounds of pretty hard use. I think I paid about 50 bucks for that scope and I would think I got my money worth out of it. I bought a 2x Luppy at the same time and it rode on top of a .44 Mag for about 20 years and the last few years on a .45 Win mag barrel and has also been trouble free. But the luopold cost me nearly 3 times as much. I actually like the Bushnell a bit better.

You'll like it. I've used that scope on a Contender 30-30 Super 14, a SRH and a 10" 22 bull match barrel (also Contender). Nice and bright. It's a little bigger than the 20mm objective alternatives, but you have to give up something for more light.
