Been thinking awful hard on a Raging Bull in .44 Mag or .454 Casull lately. Been trying to work a trade for one with an scoped Encore .308 Pistol I have. Does anyone own one and can give first-hand experience info regarding accuracy/quality on them? Thanks for any help guys.

Accuracy is not too bad. After about 1000 rounds[454] it is starting to loosen up a bit. I have a friend that has one in 44 mag. and it seems to be holding up well with over 3000 rounds through it.

I had a Raging Bull in 454 Casull. I really liked it. I know a few guys on here have had trouble w/ Taurus guns, but I didn't. Accuracy was great as the porting and weight of the gun tamed recoil to the point that my "little" 105 pound wife could shoot the gun all day.

Beware. There is a 454 down out the pawn shop that is way out of time. I do not own one. I have never fired one. I have seen several. I would not buy one. Just my humble opinion.
It's more important where you hit 'em, than what you hit 'em with.

I may know someone who would be willing to trade. He is happy with his Raging bull in .44, but, like me he is a .308 nut. What would you need in cash for the Encore? I'm interested. Thr Raging Bull does not "buck" much at all.

Grendel, let me get back with you on that. I may have a trade for a Ruger Redhawk locally...not sure yet.

The biggest hit on Taurus was their customer service, which SUCKED but I have heard has improved. I never liked the shape of the handle on their big bore revolvers so no real experience with them.
Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.
