Rod, too.

Not really sure. About all I have new are the two that Rod redid for me...the RBH .41 Mag and Competitor .357 Max. I thinking the Max is surely going to see some action.

This will be my Remington XP-100 .308's first deer season. It will be interesting to see how its 150 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips perform.

Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley Hunter in .44 Remington Magnum.
With 300 gr. XTP over 22grains of H110. And if I fill my first tag with that, then the next with my model 28 S&W . .357 mag.

Ruger 45lc 4 5/8" with 325gr BB for up close 35 to 50 are so
Encore 308win w/4x Scope 15" barrel with bipod 150gr win. BTHP for the long shots out to 300
My son is using a 'tender 35rem 14" 200gr and 14" SSK 45-70govt. 300gr hot loads (my old girl that he loves! the 45-70 is one of SSK's earlier ones back when it was their big gun)
then I have two that I got to kill one with after I have taken one with my 45lc and 308 win, first is a 223 custom shop 'tender w/break and a 2-6x 55gr BTHP
But this one makes no sense at all but my Encore 12" MGM 500 S&W w/brake 440gr hornady HP factory loads (it's one of those of "I just got to know" things)

Oregon has a program where kids under the legal hunting age of 12 can hunt on someone elses tag. The only requirements are 9-14yrs of age and the adult must be 21 and with the child at all times. You can also only have one legal hunting weapon. I say all this because my 11yr old daughter is hunting on my tag and she is carrying the Boddington Ruger #1 Leopard in 7x57 but I'm still carrying my Ruger Bisley 454 and my Encore 458 Win stays in the truck in case of bear sighting at longer range than the 454 with irons can handle. For elk it will probably be the 458 since my 300Win scored last year. I'll still wear the 454 on my belt though.

One of this year's goals has been achieved. I'm going elk hunting next week. After 19 years of bonus points even! Some poor bloke turned in his tag and I was first on the alternates list. Next year's goal is to draw a deer tag and put it down with a handgun.

Take game with all 3 of my unscoped Freedom Arms guns (500WE, 475 Linebaugh, 454 Casull - the WE got action first, and the Casull got in the game last evening...next up, the 6" Linebaugh and 325 gr Speer Gold Dot SP's!

I do have a travel hunt trip coming up, so I have a feeling the Encores/Tenders/scoped revolvers will get some play before the Linebaugh gets on the board...

My first choice is going to be my 357 Max shooting a 180XTP over a max charge of LiLGun. If I get to take something else it will be with my 480 Ruger or my 357 Herret.

Only two revolvers I will be using this year, and they are a Ruger Bisley Hunter in .44 Mag, topped with an Ultradot on a Weigand base and my Ruger SRH in .500 Linebaugh topped with an Ultradot 30.

Thanks Rod! Here are a few details:

I killed a 5X5 bull with the custom .475 Linebaugh you built for me. I was my own cameraman also. It was extremely tricky but I managed to film it!
I will put up a new post soon when I get more time.

Note the customized grips I added with the elk ivory's inletted. Kind of fitting I reckon...
