Has anyone thought about hunting with something like the Mossberg 12 ga 500 JIC II Pack? We keep debating what is legal, so, by something that is manufactured. Yes it is a 12 ga but this the intire point. LOL We shot, or at least I do, 270's, 45-70's, 375's, 480's, and other monstrositys, why not a 12 for less than the price tag of a new barrel!! I guess I am thinking loud....

When I was a youngun I sawed off a single shot 12 guage barrel at a foot long and cut the stock off at the grip. I carried it when snomobiling cause we would jump bunnies all the time. Didn't know about legal then. It had a good bit of muzzle flip but was not painful to shoot by any means.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.
