I'd like to wish everyone who may be hunting here in Wisconsin a safe and productive deer hunt. Where will you be hunting, and what will you be using? "Aim small, miss small".

I will be hunting in Jefferson and Rock Counties using my TC Contender in 7TCU and my Ruger Bisley Blackhawk in .45 Long Colt. Should be a good year for us! All of the crops are off the fields and the rut is just starting to tapper off.

Well I got my first buck with my .44. There were so few deer in Bayfield Co, Wisconsin that our "Gang" decided even though we had doe tags we were not going to shoot any does. I ended up shotting the only buck I saw all week. A "Nub" buck. Ain't big, but he will be tender.

Southern Bayfield Co .357 GP100 our group of 6 didn't see a deer. It was horrible all the camps in our area had empty meat poles. They were some tracks at night in the snow but no daytime activity. Fewest shots we have ever heard. I had 2 stands set up for 25yrds and less, perfect for handgun. Oh well looking towards next year.

same here hunted by the Dells did not see a deer until Friday.
Then it was a small doe but will be good eating.Moved to Sping Green and hunted Saturday in the rain and shot a doe
all in all not seeing the amount of deer or for that matter hearing the shooting I normally hear during the season
