I took this doe on the second evening of the season. I shot her with my Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter .45 LC. The Michigan DNR aged her at 4.5.

Way to start the season, Ty! Congrats! Looks like you had some good help with the retrieving!

nice big doe! This will be my first year with my Ruger Bisley Blackhawk in .45 long colt. What load did you use?

45 Colt is a great cartridge, my favorite is 250gr lead flat point with 9.3grs Unique, so very accurate and nice to shoot in my Blackhawk and T/C..glad to see you shooting a doe..keep the kids involved...
