Headed to Ohio for their week of gun season, I've been shooting weekly and am ready to smack a big Ohio buck.I will post pic's when I get back, the guns I will be taking are my 480 Ruger, my Encore with a 357 max & 460 barrels, and my performance center 460. I want to thank you all for your advice and sharing your knowledge. J.T.

Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. If you have truly addressed the former, the latter is only a matter of time. Be safe.

I vote for the .480

Don't confuse shooting with hunting.
Shooting is a game, hunting is a sport.

The doe I shot with my P.C. 460, smoked the buck with my Encore 460, it's a 15" MGM full bull barrel, Tony made the forend, the scope is a Luepold. I use the same handload for both guns, 39 gr. of 2400, 200 gr. Hornady FTX. Shot the doe at 40 yards, and the buck at 90.

Very nice buck! Congratulations on the doe too... And it certainly looks like you have an excellent set-up with the tree stand, etc!

Full freezer!
