This is not bragging by any means. I had 2 does playing around about 125 yds. I thought one of them went over the other side of the hill. I pulled the trigger one deer fell and the one behind it I didnt see. Jumped straight up ran about 10 ft fell over. Much to my disbilefe. Thank goodness you can get extra doe tags here. Has this happened to anybody else.

Did it with two pigs in Alabama-- shot a brown one about 100lbs and went through and hit the little 30lb one behind it in the head killed them both.

Funny thing about this is my buddy was sitting next to me and we timed the shots so he shot one too.

At first we could not figure how the little one got shot--went back to the shooting house and bam!it all came together

If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

I got two hogs once in Florida but I was hunting with a rifle. I aimed at the black one over the hood of my buddy's truck at about 50 yards. At the shot, my buddy jumped out of the truck screaming that I got two. The red hog was standing about 20 yards behind the black one and the bullet exited pig one (actually the jacket -- it was a Hawk Deadsoft), and hit the second one in the neck, severing the spine.

I think I related this story once before, but yes I did. I was hunting towards the end of the season on a bitter cold morning when a bunch of doe came across the oak flats to the rank and file plot of red pines where I was standing. I spotted a buck mixed in with the does and waited for him to cross the alley I was watching. he was near the end of the bunch. he stuck his head out and very cautiously stepped out. when I could see his shoulder thru the 4x redfield, I tickled the trigger. he dropped right there and the others moved on but didn't bolt, they sort of lingered, but I was so frozen I could hardly wait to shove my hands up inside that steaming cavity. When I got to him(about a 60 yard shot) I put down my pack and shed my holsters and coat and heavy wool shirt and put on my latex gloves. I grabbed his leg and rolled him over. About the time I realized that he had no horns, I discovered he had no twigs and berries, and he had no bullet hole, and I was thinking "what the heck???"nowI was too cold to be crazy, but I was having a time trying to figure this out. There was a little speck of blood on the snow and in front of HER there was a larger speck and a little ways a bigger spot. I grabbed my backup blackhawk and started following the blood trail that developed quickly. Forty yards away was the buck. I had shot him thru the heart and shot her thru the nose halfway between the eyesocket and the end of her nose. I had a doe tag, but the landowner had asked that I shoot only bucks. he was nearby and heard the shot, so he came to see what was up. I thought he might be upset, but he was tickled and knew that I had only fired one round.

I doubled deer while crop damage hunting a couple years ago. It was the first trip out with the APS XP-100 7mm-270WSM shooting 162 A-Max's. Distance was 378yds. The front deer bucked and ran while the other just dropped. Front deer impact was through the heart while the back deer took the bullet through the front edge of its shoulder.

My grandfather claimed to have patiently waited one afternoon for two geese to line up so that he could shoot them both through the head with a 30 30 rifle while employed as a sheepherder. I don't know if its true, but it was an interesting story.

I've doubled groundhogs 6 times and deer (on purpose) 5 times, all with handguns. .357 to .454 on 'hogs. .338 JDJ to .500 S&W. The .500 was JD Jones' Encore that he made to test the cartridge with before the revolver came out. I think I probably shot the first 4 whitetails ever killed with the .500.

I made a double PD kill, when one dog started running toward the one pd on the mound at 350 yards with Steve's 25-06 years ago when we both lived in Greeley, but never on big game.

I was hunting with my 6 year old daughter and had pigs come out at 170 yards and she did not feel comfortable to shoot. She wanted me to shoot one with her rifle, 7-08 Handi Rifle. I shot one ~100 lbs and 2 pigs dropped. Both ear shots. Didn't even know other pig was behind the other. Awesome to have my daughter there with me.

My son likes to do it on hogs at the ranch. They usually come into the barley stubble in large groups, so we pick out a pair of 80-100 meat hogs, and let him have fun. That was when hog tags were a book of 5 for a buck, now there up to around $16.95 each, so I make him shoot a 250 or so, and I only have to butcher one also.

You cant shoot a big one, if you shoot a little one first.......

I shot broadside through 2 blue wildebeest in South Africa in 1994 with a FA .454 after a long crawling stalk of a herd. The 260 gr. FA bullet sailed through the intended bull, then through a smaller one behind him that I hadn't seen.

Ken, your account reminded me about the time that Brian Pearce shot through two Cape buffalo (one was a cow that was behind the bull) with a .45/70 loaded with CorBon Penetrators.

What did your PH say, Ken?

I've had no doubles, but I've had a triple on two different occasions.

My first handgun kill event was three does with an iron sighted S&W .41 Magnum revolver.

The second time I took two bucks and a doe. Both bucks were taken with a Glock 21, and the doe was taken with a scoped .41 revolver.

WOW!!! That's a lot of penetration with the Glock 21!!! What bullet were you using?

Totally disregard my post .... I'm a dumbass! I thought the original post had to do with mulitple kills at the same time - not multiples with one shot. Geez, I need some more caffeine.
Damn, that is a lot of penetration, ain't it KRal???

I'd like to have seen the look on your face when you first read my post .... :^)

Jannie Otto, the PH, and I had a good relationship. He was as shocked as I was.

I did it once on accident on 2 muley doe's using a 257 Ackley Improved, had no idea there was another deer behind the front one.
One of my son's did in once on elk, with his bow! Not only that but the arrow never hit the second elk, true story! He was sitting on one of our waterholes & it was getting late, a herd of elk came in with one very nice bull in the bunch. The cows & calfs went into the water & the bull started walking around the top side of the water hole. These water holes are made by the sheep men & on the low end will have a pretty high dike to hold the water back, this is what the bull was walking on when Marty shot him.
At the shot the bull leaped off the dike & into the water, elk ran in all directions, he waited 15 minutes & it was dark. When he got down he headed for home & got me & one of his brothers & we went back right at daylight. The bull had went about 50 yds & piled up. As we were dressing out the bull we heard something & walked back down to the waterhole & there was a cow with a broken back. The bull had landed on her when he jumped off the dike, breaking her back. My other son had an archery tag & we used it on the cow.
