Will a Bushnell Elite 2-6x scope mount on a Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter with standard med height rings included with the revolver without removing the sights?

It's been a while but IIRC mine fit behind the front sight but I had to crank down the rear. I traded my rings back to Ruger for some high ones, N/C.
