It is a tank and I love it.

My one and only 357 is a 4" GP100 and it is a shooter, even with me pulling the trigger.

My favorite 357,a 4" stainless Colt King Cobra super smooth and accurate. I took my first deer with a handgun with it. That gun was always on my hip when I was out and about, fishing, scouting camping, just felt right.

Model 28 S&W hands down -- I have three of them 2 ea. 6" and a 4"

One of the 6" models has a 2X leupold

Great triggers with no work--super accurate

Way over built-- now you can get anew one that shoots 8 times

Super gun

If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

I've owned a couple of 686's out of the box they were probably the best shooting guns from the factory I've owned. I've had some Ruger Blackhawks that were shooters but only after I worked them over. The best of the Rugers was a three screw that is now a 44spcl and now it's a shooter.

Thanks, it works like a charm. Too bad they quit making them.

Have a few wheel guns but only one in 357. It's a Dan Wesson 357 mag. I have grown very fond of the DW, fantastic trigger and very accurate. Have a EH (extra heavy) barrel on its way from EWK Arms.

Currently have a 6" 686 and 7.5" Blackhawk in .357 - the 686 is super shooter with a scary light trigger. Had an action job and work done on the Ruger to slick it up.

Based on my experience with other calibers in the platform, I'm fairly certain that a M83/353 Freedom Arms will find it's way "home" at some point in time.

6 inch GP100 open sights for hunting. 2 3/4 inch Speed Six for hiking, etc.

It's all good: handgun, rifle and bow.

Had a Dan 8 inch VH back in the day. Gawd a mighty did that thing shoot !!!!!!!

If I had my druthers and the money I'd go find me a S&W Registered357.

My S&W 686 no dash 8 5/8" is a shooter. It's accurate, steady, and sturdy. The longer barrel gets more velocity out of the .357 mag rounds and its length, weight, and trigger helps put the bullets where you need them. There may be better, more accurate revolvers out there (I don't know that for sure), but I know I don't need it.

have a 4" model 28 that hits what it's pointed at. a 6" python that feels so good when the action rolls single or double action is so smooth. i have a pair of anniversary flat tops that I'm waiting for my girls to run the first rounds thru, so each has their own. but the nicest 357 I ever shot was a model 27. one of the few deals that I passed up and really regret.

have 4" S&W686 I really like, it's prime use is as an understudy to 657 4" and 629 4". That said I noticed in the Speer reloading manual #11 from 1987 that they used a Ruger 6" security six to work up all the 38spl and 357 mag loads, can you imagine how many loads that is Diff powders, bullet weights. if thay use it it must be durable.

Which ever one I happen to have in my hand at the moment. Currently it's a 'L' frame Mt. gun from Lipsey's.

I have two that I never want to part with. One is a S&W 4" model 66-5 and the other is a S&W 686 with a 6" barrel. With the right loads both are tack drivers.

A carry gun, 686 or GP

A hunting gun, Ruger "Redhawk" or FA...

But that is just what I like... lol
