Just got my new slab side barrel assembly for my Dan Wesson 357 mag. I believe it will lessen recoil significantly. Its pictured here with my Bisely Hunter.

Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

TV, where did the slabside come from? Is it a DW product? I looked for one for my mod 29 but couldn't find one.

How much does the beastie weigh now? Not sure my home scale is extremely accurate but it shows 3 lb. 4 oz. The original barrel assembly was a full lug, so I'm not sure if it added a lot more weight but in the hand it feels a great bit heavier.
