I have a 44mag Redhawk and just got a Wolff spring kit. What pound spring works the best? Their is a 12,13,14 pound. Will they cause misfire? I do reload if that matters. Thanks for any help with this.

I have used their lighter springs in my GeeP (GP100) and SRH and have yet to have a misfire. The Geep and SRH use the same spring kit (9, 10 and 12) so I put the 9# in the Geep and the 10# from the same kit int he SRH. If you wanna get spoiled use the lightest and shoot away, if you get light hits move up a pound.
Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I've not had any problems with the 13# springs.

my redhawk(7 1/2" standard version in ss) is older, back when the spring kits were made by?, or called "bullseye". it has the lightest spring. it did misfire some with reloads using cci primers. i changed over to federal primers in it and no more misfires.
Kentucky….no place like home.

Stronger hammer springs are more accurate in any gun but the RH is a strange animal with one spring for the hammer and trigger. It is the hardest gun to fool with. You need a balance. That is why I like the SRH better plus the grips are better. I hate the RH grip frame.

If you are going to a lighter spring in the RH then it might be worth it to invest in a hammer shim kit.
The shims will reduce the friction between the sides of the hammer and the frame which rob energy from the hammer. With a slightly lighter spring and a shim kit you might be at a break even proposition with respect to hammer energy at the firing pin.
If your hammer has ANY wear marks on the side of it then you have hammer to frame contact.
