Looks like they finally did it!

Grey Wolves are officially de-listed in the Great Lakes states and according to one of our MN DNR officials "there could be a season as soon as next fall"

I am anxious to see what the state regulations will look like, If given the opportunity, I know I will have a tag in my pocket! would be awesome to get on with a handgun!

I've had my share of confrontations with Uncle Sam's puppies, but while deer hunting for the mose part. I am not sure how one would hunt them deliberately, but would like the chance to try it.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Ya call them like ya do for coyotes. It's about time! Bayfield co. Wisconsin is loaded with them! Also Douglas co.! We were ATVing in Doulas Co., and saw more wolf tracks crosing the trails than deer tracks

Yeah I hear ya. Here in Bemidji I don't see as much sign from them as I did when I lived in Ely. Still got some friends up there, so I would maybe have to make a special trip

I am hoping the Great Lakes States will soon draft hunting rules and seasons for these things.

I do have a question. How receptive are landowners in those states to wolf hunters? I know it may sound like a silly question but such a hunting trip would be very interesting.

I know here in MN there is lots of public land available to hunt on in prime wolf range, but I have little doubt that some of the few livestock farmers in those areas would be willing to let wolf hunters on their property.

here in oregon they just tracked a juvenile male with a collar, our packs are still in the nw corner of the stat but this guy took a little stroll down to southern end of the cascades they believe looking for a mate and now he's on his way back. That little stroll is right around a thousand miles. His dad, (the alpha male) and his brother were slated for execution for killing cattle and now that has been put on hold because of the tree huggers.

nor does TPWD acknowledge that they red wolfs they let out at Fort Hood rapidly spread like rabbits AND mixed with the coyote population. Gorgeous pelts though...
