My first handgun kill was a 4 point buck with my 25-06 encore pistol with a truglo red dot sight.

My first was a Sika buck with a 6.5 JDJ contender.

Snagged another doe this year with my t/c .270. A bit of overkill at 20 some yards, but she got in the freezer. 'course my first doe this year was with an Eswing. go figure.

1986 I shot a N.Y. whitetail doe with a Ruger SuperBlackhawk 44mag using factory 240gr JHP and open sights.

In 1996 with Taurus Model 44. WT doe. Federal 240 gr. hydra-shok HP

Varmints until I got a buck antelope back in the '80s with an iron sighted .44 mag @ about 150 yards.

First big game was an antelope doe with an open sighted Ruger SBH in 44 mag. I figured the shot was about 90 yards.

First large animal was a whitetail doe with my open sighted 454 from Freedom arms.

My first shot at an animal with a handgun found its mark. The distance was about 35 yards when I shot this deer with a 10 inch Contender 30/30, 3x scope, and 150 grain Core-Lokt. I was 17 and haven't hunted with a rifle in the 18 years since.

Mine first game animal of any type was a groundhog with a browning buckmark....first big game was a hog with a 357 ruger bh and american eagle 158 gr. Jsp

First big game : Whitetail doe with the Ruger Redhawk in 44 Mag some 20 years ago - 2X Leupold still sits on top, and still shooting 200 gr XTP's.

Lots of rabbits fell to the Colt Woodsman, as well as the 44 prior to the doe...

First handgun kill was an 8 pointer in 2010. I was shooting my SRH using 240 XTPs (factory rounds).

off course small game counts dogsbreath and now that you mention it my first kill was actually a rabbit with a ruger single six 22 mag one of the old guns with the the 3 screw design.

Mine was a big old fat coon.
I was in an old barn with a couple of my buddies who had long rifles with scopes and I was sporting my dad's S&W A22 with open sights. we spotted the big guy in the cupola with our flash lights and all pointed at it holding the flashlights in one hand and gun in the other.
the others didn't shoot cause they were scared they would miss and hit the tin and right then I shot, and the coon fell 30 feet down stone dead with one shot to the head. Remember it like yesterday... man was I proud lol

Heck... I can't remember, pro'bly an antelope with a 30-30 or .30 Herrett Contender; but then I can't remember what I had for dinner last night...

My memorie is shot too but I'd have to say the first handgun kill would have been digger squirrel with an old high standard
22 or a gray squirrel with a 1911. My first big game animal was a mule deer doe with a 357 Blackhawk.

My first kill was a squirrel with my Ruger Single Six. My first big game kill was a six point buck with my SRH 454 Casull, which happened this season.

Small game: Rats around the barn with a .22 cal revolver w/bird shot.
Varmints: Groundhawg with a 10" T/C 41 mag open sights.
Big Game: 8 Pt. with same gun 4 power scope and my best buck with a handgun to date.

The first small game animals were squirrels, but I have no photos and don't remember if the first was taken with a Ruger Mk. I Target .22 or a S&W .38 Special.

First big game was in 1988; killed a spike whitetail with a RBH 45LC, u.5" barrel, topped with a 2x tasco scope. I think the shot was around 65 yards.

I think I remember seeing a guy that looked alot like that on Deliverance and that looks to be about the right time frame

First big game, 5-point whitetail at about 25 yards trotting by, Ruger super blackhawk, factory irons, Hornady 240 gr. HP. Happened back in 1985/86, later sold that gun for an XP 100 and the addiction began.

My first big game was a 10 point Whitetail with a 15" Encore in 30-06. I am sure several gophers, chipmunks, squirrels, and rabbits built me up to that ... with a Ruger .22 or Contender in .22
