Thanks for sharing. Hal was a great guy and wrote a lot about handguns and handgun hunting. He was truly one of the good guys.

Yes thanks for sharing that, it was a good story and with my other comments on a different post it stops and makes you think.

I had the pleasure of rooming with Hal and J.D. Jones at the Kennedy Ranch on a hunting trip. Talk about history in the making!! And the stories! I didn't sleep for three days-----mostly due to J.D.'s snoring. Two great guys that all of us handgunners owe a lot to.

I have had the great pleasure of hunting and shooting and sharing a sun-downer or two with JD (but have not experienced the snoring) but not with Hal; though I have one of his handgun videos and have read a lot of his articles.

Excellent story!

There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor polite, nor popular -- but one must ask, "Is it right?"

I had the pleasure of hunting with Hal and Ken French over a long weekend at the Y.O. Ranch. It was truly a memorable experience. I am very thankful to have spent time with both gentlemen.

That's a good story. Thanks for sharing.

It's not the gun, but the man behind it.
