I'm posting here since this forum gets more traffic than the off topic section.

But one year ago today our HHM family lost a great friend. I was on the fence about posting since most of us have likely not though about it in a while but I still think of Dale quite often. Anytime I look at my antelope skulls in the living room I am reminded that he was supposed to be on that trip w/ Ernie and I. We spoke quite often, almost weekly sometime and always spent at least an hour on the phone and listened to each other retell hunting stories that we had already heard. We also shot together on many occassions at the SWPA B'n'B and even when him and Eric (his brother) would make the trip down just to shoot long range.

If you didn't know Dale (Tigger), just look at the "Top Posters" counter on the right side of the screen......the guy has been gone a year and still has the #3 position, not because he was a post addict but because he always had valid advise to offer and make good additions to a thread.

And when I think of Dale I always remember that he left a young wife, Linda, and three children.

Still missing a friend................Dan B.

I do miss him-- and his groundhog posts.

Thanks for preserving his memory

Good post Dan

Yep he was a great guy, I enjoyed talking with him and exchanging ideas and he's a lot bigger part of why I started my business than most people have any idea about. I still keep the card I got from his wife after his passing on my main gun cabinet in my front room. It has a picture of Dale on it and when I look at it motivates me, especially if I'm having a bad day with pain. I just remember how he handled his disease with such an up beat and positive attitude and pushed on regardless of how he was doing and in the face of something he knew could and did kill him.

Well said Dan. I only knew Tigger on this site but learned a great deal from him. He is missed.

Tigger always had good advice, provided me and others with a lot of laughs with the "Get Both" mentality and had an extremely positive outlook on his fight...I didn't communicate with him until late in his disease, and his words still have an impact on me.

Unfortunately, the "Get Both" advice has stuck!!

Miss you buddy.

I never met Dale personnaly, but talked back and forth often about "Charlie" hunting. We had talked about getting together for a few hunts. From our discussions I felt I knew him. I miss our back and forth. Thanks Dan.

when i met tigger at a local truck stop here yrs ago, he was as healthy as a horse. it was sad to see a pic of him later in his disease posted over at SP site. i did not even recognize him. it aged him dramatically. it was amazing how positive minded he remained.

Amen!! I don't know how he did it.

I remember our last conversation like it was yesterday....heartbreaking. It was around Thanksgiving of 2010. He told me "this is probably the last time you'll talk to ol'Tig, man".

Dale was a rare individual because he was one of the few genuinely NICE people I`ve meet over the course of my life. To say I was shocked when I heard of his passing would be an understatement....When I joined this site Tigg was a major player and as Dan pointed out he still holds the #3 top poster position. Not only did Tigg post here but he also contrbuted to the Dan Wesson forum with his beautiful DW collection. As a matter of fact, he was so well liked on the DW site that the members collected contributions that were sent to his wife.
I guess you can say that Tigg left us a message in that we should enjoy each day of our life as we don`t know what the future holds.....

I ran across one of his posting about a week ago and thought about his input and knowledge he always had. Never met him, but he was a good man.

Lots of very appropriate positive words being said here about Dale (Tigger)

I can't add much because I never met him personally but I talked to him on the phone a couple times....plus e-mails. He sent us a jug of his fantastic home made (and marketed) Real Maple Syrup. I sent him my video.

What a man; what a great guy. I wish I could have met him...

I had made plans to get him on the HHI Antelope Hunt at my comp but it never panned out...

I sure do miss him, as my eyes moisten... Even my sweet wife Karen misses him, through my dealings with him.

Like SCHunter and others the "get both" speech he repeated to many of us still makes me laugh.Earlier I purchased a 7 1/2"bl 45colt and like others on a budget was weighing it out over need v/s want v/s already having one in that caliber and what words crept up in my head,"get both".It was a pleasure getting to know him.

I never met him but one of my first posts before I got my encore I was asking questions and he had offered to let me come shoot his guns cause he lived in my area-pretty amazing offer for never meeting me..that was just before he got sick I beleive cause then he said was dealing with illness etc, so I never got to meet him. He did offfer up tons of charlie hunting tips and I'm always reminded of him when im charlie hunting...
