For those who have held all three calibers of the super blackhawk hunter, are the frame and grips the same size? I was wondering this today and just need to know for more almost useless knowledge. Is the .41 smaller than the .44 and the .45 bigger than the other two?

I know some of you know, so lets hear it.

Hey man, you gonna shoot that thang or not?

Thanks it just bothered me that I didn't know. Seeing as how the .41 and .45 and not a common gun I have never been able to hold one to find out.

I didnt know they were all the same size. I would have thought that the 44 was larger. All the blackhawks are smaller than the Super. But its good to know.

From Linebaugh's Custom Sixguns;

"FRAME STRENGTH

Here at Linebaugh Custom Sixguns we build some of the most powerful handguns in the world. All of our guns at this time are built exclusively on the Ruger Blackhawk frames. (Ruger Super Blackhawk, Blackhawk and Bisley models are all identical. All frames in the new model that was introduced in 1973 are the same.)"

They are all the same size, which if I remember explains why the .41 weighs a bit more.

The God who gave us such a beautiful land, wonderful game, and the sport of hunting is worth knowing.
