Okay so I'm a bowhunter at heart but I've always wanted to try deer with a revolver. I've been saving up for a new climbing tree stand, had one all pick out, a nice one and a little pricey. But, it was the one I wanted.
Then you guys come along and twist my arm to my a new handgun. So, now I've rethought the treestand and decided to buy a less expensive one that way I cna put a little of the money i've saved towards the saving for a new revolver.
YOU GUYS ARE KILLING ME!

I know the feeling. Since finding this site I'm window shopping all the time. Every time I see another members photo of an interesting toy, I'm thinking, I NEEEED one of those. LOL.
Here's something to ponder. You can handgun hunt w/o the tree stand. Not so w/o the handgun. I've shot many a deer with my longbow on the ground. I hope you get what you want.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step. Didn't help me.......it just kinda took away the "dirty" feeling when I was sneaking them in the house!

So, do we get to help you spend your money? How about Freedom Arms in 475 Linebaugh?! Or get one in a 454 (premier of course), send it to Huntington and have it bored to a 500JRH Or maybe a 500 Smith BoneCrusher!! And then you'll need a back up. Like say a FA 500WE 4 3/4 perfect packin pistol or a Model 97 45 Colt. or, or,or,or,or.......:D
I know, a 7.5 inch FA 500WE with a scope or reddot AND a 4 3/4 WE PPP with round butt for a backup....

Run away...quickly. Disable this site (and Gunbroker). I found this site while researching a revolver purchase, optics, etc...the sickness came on FAST after that. And to top it off, there are nice guys on here that'll call you and e-mail you when they find something they think you should acquire

If you let it this it can become a very expensive hobby indeed... however, the flip side to that is you will be involved in one of the most rewarding sports on the planet. You have to remember that handgun hunting, most likely has the few`est members of any of the different hunting types (bow, rifle, muzzleloader) so right from the start your in the minority, but the "chosen few" are some of the finest hunters and all-around good guys that you can find and there is no better place to start then right here.

It goes both ways, if you go to the off topic section the guys started talking about traditional archery and next thing I know I have aquired another custom recurve from one of the guys on here.

One old trick is to let your wife see you leaving the house with an old gun case that see has seen before. It's empty of course. When you return home,,,,,,,,,,,well, you know the rest.

For you younger members -- the key is different bank accounts and an inventory large enough that she has no idea if that is "new" or "not."
Seriously, I am at a point where I could use someone to slow me down a little. Unfortunately, she does not.
It's more important where you hit 'em, than what you hit 'em with.

Lately I've been redoing (or re-thinking) some loads for guns that I've had for a while...takes the itch off of having to get new toys.

zatback I have had this problem for longgun, now I have it again for Handguns. I have it for barrels. I have a Savage target action rifle with 3 Barrels 223 factory, 223AI custom, and 20Tac custom. Stller Diamondback rifle with 3 6BR barrels 12tw, 10 tw ,and 8tw. BAT B action rifle with 2 6BRX barrels 14 and 8 tw. Now I have a Contender with a 7-30 waters and a 223, now I need more. Get yourself a Encore and or a Contender, then you just need barrels, your not buying guns, just barrels.

As bad as this may sound my big bore collection is still just one gun. However my small bore collection has seen many additions. That being said I have a friend I work with that has a Smith 29 with the 10.5 barrel thats already scoped out in premo shape........

T.C. guns all look the same so go ahead and buy as many as you like, no one will know the difference.
