I was at the indoor range shooting yesterday. They were having a scope sale and I found a silver 1" Simmons 2.5-7x28 Gold Medal Handgun Scope for $50.00. Has anyone had any experience with them?

I had one on a 7-30 W Contender and never had a lick of trouble with it. What do you plan to put it on?

I am contemplating a Contender .223 barrel.

I think it would work just fine on something light like that.

I have one on a SBH 44 maggie. I have shoot many heavy loads over the years and I have ben very happy with it.

I think the Gold Medal was the scope that JD used to run on all his heavy hitters. (with good results)

It would be fine on a 223.

After confirmation, it looks like it would be fine on just about anything short of a cannon. If you don't want it, shoot me the information for the range. I'll buy it.
