I have been wanting a 9mm 1911 for some time now, and found a good deal on this Kimber Pro Carry II in 9mm.
It basically looks new on the outside, and the trigger is good enough to suit me-Now that is odd indeed, since I am a trigger snob:cool2:
I will put on a Ambi-Safety in the future, since I am a lefty.
I will also have the insides gone through by a friend of mine who specializes in 1911's.
Between my Tomcat, Glock 26, and now the Kimber, my carry options are more diversified.
I will be getting a couple more mags. Any suggestions?
No range report as of yet.

I have one like it. I like it a lot. When I was in Ohio at my friend's farm, we were shooting it at 150 meters. I was surprised that I could (sometimes) hit the turkeys with it.

It's more important where you hit 'em, than what you hit 'em with.

I have heard that Wilson Combat mags are the way to go. They are about the best on the market.

I had a Wilson Combat custom .45 pistol built several years ago. It came with two Wilson magazines. They feed any load including empty cases. I imagine that the 9mm magazines are just as reliable.

Not too shabby! Why'd you buy a nice 1911 in a subpar caliber?
All my 1911's are 45's. My Berretta and Walther are my 9's! I love my Kimber ...one of the first made when Chip McCormick was putting them together. I have had 0 problems with my Shooting Star magaizines.

I don't have a 9mm 1911, but use CMC Power Mags in my 45 and they have been flawless. That is a nice piece, if the handle was 1/2" shorter it would be a perfect packin' piece for CC.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I run Kimber mags in my 9mm Springfield 1911 with no problem.
